Costs associated with the filing of Namibian Trade Mark Applications;

1. For the Application for a new Namibian Trade Mark the cost is N$4,200.00 in respect of the first application and N$3,150.00 in respect of the second and subsequent applications, up to the fifth, filed in the name of one applicant at the same time.   From the sixth application the fee would be reduced to N$2,650.00 per application.  This fee excludes additional and extraordinary services.  
In order to file the application we require the following documents;

 

i.    Power of Attorney (a copy will be forwarded upon request), and
ii.    10 prints of proposed trade mark, and
iii.    A full description of the proposed trade mark, and
iv.    A Full name, street address, postal address and description of the applicant (including trading style, if any, and state/country of incorporation, if incorporated), and
v.    List of goods and/or services associated with the proposed trade mark, and.



2. For the Renewal of an existing Namibian Trade Mark our fee will is N$2,500.00 for the first application, and N$2,000.00 for the second and further applications filed in the name of the same applicant at the same time.
In order to file the renewal application we require a duly completed Power of Attorney.
 
3. For the Assignment of a Registered Namibian Trade Mark our fee will be N$ 3,000-00 (excluding cost of drafting of the deed of assignment)
In order to file the application for assignment of the Namibian Trade Mark we require the following documents;

i.    Power of Attorney, and
ii    A certified copy of the Deed of Assignment or other instrument of title.


4. Change of the Name of the registered proprietor N$ 2000-00
In order to file the application for Change of the Name of the registered proprietor of a Namibian Trade Mark we require the following documents;

i.    Power of Attorney, and
ii.    Certificate of Change of Name.


5. Change of Address of the registered proprietor of a Namibian Trade Mark – N$ 2000-00
In order to file the renewal application we require a duly completed Power of Attorney.

6. Other amendments to the Registered Trade Mark will be quoted for upon request.

DESIGN RENEWALS
For the renewal of a design our fee is N$2,375.00 for the first renewal and N$ 1,50.00 for the second and further applications filed in the name of the same applicant at the same time.

 
10. PATENT ANNUTITIES IN THE 4TH, 7TH AND 10TH YEAR
For the renewal of any patent neeuities in Namibia our fee is N$2,375.00 for the first renewal and N$2,050.00 for the second and further applications filed in the name of the same applicant at the same time

Class 7

Machines and machine tools; motors (except for land vehicles); machine coupling and belting (except for land vehicles); agricultural implements; incubators for eggs.

Class 8

Hand tools and implements (hand operated); cutlery; side arms; razors.

Class 9

Scientific, nautical, surveying, electric, photographic, cinematographic, optical, weighing, measuring, signalling, checking (supervision), life-saving and teaching apparatus and instruments; apparatus for recording transmission or reproduction of sound or images; magnetic data carriers, recording discs; automatic vending machines and mechanisms for coin-operated apparatus; cash registers, calculating machines, data processing equipment and computers; fire-extinguishing apparatus.

Class 14

Precious metals and their alloys and goods in precious metals or coated therewith, not included in other classes; jewellery, precious stones; horological and chronometric instruments.

Class 17

Rubber, gutta-percha, gum, asbestos, mica and goods made from these materials and not included in other classes; plastics in extruded from for use in manufacture; packing, stopping and insulating materials; flexible pipes , not of metal.
